General News Updates Webinars to Reflect NCAA Rule Changes

LHSAA teammate,, recently updated in-service webinars to reflect the new NCAA rule changes, which are noted below:

  • D1 minimum core GPA has increased from a 2.0 to a 2.3 beginning with the class of 2015. Student athletes will also have to complete a minimum of 10 of their 16 core class requirements by the end of their junior year.
  • D1 programs now have the option to guarantee more than one year of aid.
  • D1 programs now have the option to provide an annual $2,000 stipend to student-athletes to cover the true costs of a collegiate education.
