The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) and Raising Cane’s congratulate Robert Paul David, a senior of Patterson High School, for winning the 2014 LHSAA Prep Classic Poster Contest!

Robert’s artwork will serve as the official poster and program cover for the 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl Prep Classic and he will be featured in the souvenir program for the event.  He will be recognized during halftime of the Class 3A championship game with his art teacher Mrs. Reagan Beaubouef, Patterson principal Ms. Rachael Credeur, Allstate Sugar Bowl, Raising Cane's and Superdome representatives, and receive overnight accommodations in New Orleans and VIP passes to enjoy the Prep Classic in an LHSAA suite.  Robert will also enjoy a $100 prize compliments of the LHSAA and free Raising Cane’s for a year.

Son of Robert David and Dezica Broussard, Robert is a student in the St. Mary Parish Talented Art Program.  He is active in his school’s yearbook class and Student Council, recently creating a landscape painting for the PHS Homecoming back drop.   He is also involved in his local Ducks Unlimited Chapter, often providing paintings to be auctioned at their annual banquets.  Robert’s hobbies include:  hunting, fishing, drawing and painting.  His art most often reflects his hobbies.

Always interested in art, he began drawing at a very young age and plans to attend art school after graduation.  He credits Mrs. Beaubouef with motivating him to finish the LHSAA Poster Contest.

Ms. Credeur, Mrs. Beaubouef, Patterson High School, and the community are very proud of Robert and congratulate him for receiving this prestigious award.  His poster being selected as the official poster for the Allstate Sugar Bowl Prep Classic is an honor for Robert and for his fellow Lumberjacks.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers sponsored this contest. “We are proud to support LHSAA and all of the talented students who participated in the contest. This contest is a true testament that Louisiana students are talented both on and off the field. This was another fantastic opportunity to support education in Louisiana and for our restaurants to remain actively involved in the communities we serve” said Zach Corbin, Marketing Advisor of Raising Cane’s.

The LHSAA thanks all students who entered the artwork for this contest.  The following top four (4) runner-ups will be given a gift basket on behalf of Raising Cane’s:

Cheyenne Berg – Winnfield Senior High
Caroline Harrel – Winnfield Senior High
Ja’Warren Hunter – Natchitoches Central
Hannah Weatherall – South Terrebonne

The LHSAA sincerely thanks Raising Cane’s for their support of high school athletics.
