History

High school football in Louisiana has been a spectacle of talent, pageantry and history for many years. This history not only echoes throughout the state, but is often portrayed  across the United States in television, movies and books. High School football for many provides life lessons carried past the gridiron and into college and professional careers. High school football is the focal point of many players, families, and fans on Friday nights in the Fall. In 2008 the Louisiana High School Athletic Association announced a partnership with the New Orleans Saints to broadcast (1) football game across the state each week to showcase the spirit, talent and tradition of Louisiana high school football.  Each game is played live on regional sports network, Cox Sports Television (CST).
