	      <description><![CDATA[The Louisiana Champions Invitational golf tournament matches the top Louisiana high-school players in an 18 hole event at a quality golf course, Tamahka Trails Golf Club in Marksville, La. 	Due to inclement weather, the 5A State Baseball Championships have been delayed. The start time for the Barbe vs. Jesuit semi-final game has been moved to 7 p.m. tonight -- Saturday, May 12. The winner of that game will play Archbishop Rummel in the finals at 2 p.m. tomorrow -- Sunday, May 13.

William&#39;s essay, "The Field of Dreams," was selected from many submissions received from students across the state. The Beyond the Game Essay program presents an opportunity for students at LHSAA-member schools to get creative and explain in their own words what it means to go &ldquo;beyond the game&rdquo; in regards to sportsmanship. 	The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) announced today that beginning the week of June 11, 2012, its office will have limited hours of operation. From June 11 through July 27, 2011, it will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. The LHSAA office will be closed on Fridays during that time. The LHSAA wishes all of its member schools, student-atheletes and parents a safe and happy summer break!
