2013 LHSAA State Softball Championships Set for April 26 - 27 at Frasch Park in Sulphur

BATON ROUGE, LA (April 11, 2013) — The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) announced today that its 2013 State Softball Tournament, the Fast Pitch 56, will be held April 26 – 27 at Frasch Park in Sulphur, La.

"The LHSAA is excited to be partnering with Sulphur Parks & Recreation (SPAR) to bring two thrilling days of the championship-level high school softball back to Frasch Park," said LHSAA Executive Director Kenny Henderson. “We are extremely confident in this facility and feel that year after year, it continues to be a great host site for our state softball tournament and welcomes our student-athletes, family and fans with open arms.”

The state championship weekend kicks off on Friday, April 26 with quarterfinal games at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Semi-final rounds are set for Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. After the semi-final rounds conclude, the park is cleared and prepped for its final championship games, which are slated for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Fans may purchase tickets at Frasch Park during championship weekend. Admission is $10 per session per person, and guests also have an option to buy a $15 tournament pass, which is good for Saturday games only. Specific game matches and field locations will be set after the regional playoff rounds have completed on Saturday, April 20.
