BATON ROUGE, LA (Oct. 16, 2012) — The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) along with the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) announced that it has begun accepting registration for its second annual state cheer and dance competition set for Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 in Lake Charles, La.
The deadline to register for the championship event is Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012. Registration forms can be found on the Cheerleading section of the LHSAA’s website at www.lhsaa.org. In order to be able to register their squads for the competition, cheer coaches must have taken the AACCA Safety Certification Course, which may be taken online at any time before registering. This year’s competition will take place at the Lake Charles Civic Center. The competition will begin with dance and conclude with high school cheer. A complete schedule of events will be available at www.lhsaa.org after registration has been completed.
