BATON ROUGE, LA (April 23, 2013) — The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) announced today that its 2013 State Baseball Championships will be held May 10 – 11 at various locations across the state.
The 5A State Baseball Championship will be held at Turchin Stadium on the campus of Tulane University. The 4A, 3A, B & C class championships will take place at McMurry Park in Sulphur, La. The state baseball championships for classes 2A and 1A are slated for Warhawk Field at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
"We are thrilled to be holding our state baseball championships at these three great ballparks,” LHSAA Executive Director Kenny Henderson commented. “We are lucky to have venues like these with high quality facilities and gracious staff members to host our student-athletes, coaches and fans for a great weekend of top-notch high school baseball.”
Fans may purchase tickets directly at the tournament host sites during championship weekend. Admission is $10 per day per person, and the gates will open one hour prior to the first scheduled game each day. Specific game match-ups will be set after the regional playoff rounds have completed on Monday, May 6.
